David Charles Cherhoniak,68, born April 1,1953 in Derby CT, passed on October 16, 2021. David lived much of his adult life on the East Haven shore in Connecticut. Welcoming family and friends to enjoy the beach and water of the Long Island Sound, his passion for this area of Connecticut was infectious. David’s family and friends celebrated and relaxed many days with him throughout the years. He also had a love and passion for sports, real estate and traveling the coast lines. I, personally, have just spent almost five years deeply immersed in the world of data and analytics and business intelligence, and hopefully I learned something during that time about those topics.
She had been a waitress and shift manager at area restaurants including Papa Gino’s for fifteen years. While continuing to work in his company, he diverted his attention to real estate investments. He was impacted by the economic collapse of 2008. David’s primary home was severely damaged by Hurricane Irene in 2011 and followed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. He never recovered from his losses and moved to Vermont in 2018.

She was born in Riverhead, NY and grew up in Mattituck, NY on the eastern end of Long Island. She graduated from Cornell University School of Nursing. In 1957, she married Leonard Bruns and lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The family moved to Natick, Massachusetts in 1963 and lived there until 2000. She lived by the principle of helping others.

She was born on May 12, 1942 in Burlington to Leonard and Marion Lafayette. Diane graduated from Rice Memorial High School and Trinity College. She lived her Catholic faith in all aspects of her life. She was an active parishioner at Saint Joseph’s Parish for over 50 years. Family was of the utmost importance to her. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s baseball, basketball and softball games, not missing many.
Three years later, on June 8, 1974, she married her childhood sweetheart and love of her life, David G. Wood at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Campbell's Field opened alongside of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge in May 2001 after two years of construction. Campbell's Field was a 6,700-seat baseball park in Camden, New Jersey, United States that hosted its first regular season baseball game on May 11, 2001. The riverfront project was a joint venture backed by the state, Rutgers University, Cooper's Ferry Development Association and the Delaware River Port Authority. The construction of the ballpark was a $24 million project that also included $7 million in environmental remediation costs before building. She is survived by her sister, Sandra Holbrook of Milton, as well as Sandy’s son, Gary and his wife Tammy and their two children, Jamie and Kayla and several nieces, nephews and their families.
